I’m a health and wellness editor, service journalist, and content strategist living in Brooklyn, New York. Before stepping into my current role as Executive Editor at SELF, I primarily led the brand’s health condition coverage, with a focus on commercial content, as Health Director.
Previously, I was a Senior Health Editor and Deputy Editor at Prevention.com, where I largely assigned and edited health news and SEO coverage spanning all verticals for two years before expanding my role to the overall digital editorial strategy. I also worked closely with the magazine’s print team, and primarily contributed to the brand’s in-book beauty coverage. Earlier in my career, I laid the groundwork for my reporting, writing, and editing skills at Men’s Health and Women’s Health, where I learned how to do this whole service journalism thing from the industry’s smartest, sharpest, and kindest health editors.
I’m also a bilingual Bosnian American, an Iowa native (and Midwest girl at heart), a big lover of the outdoors, and the multiple to-do lists type.
